This is a rare and unusual polished Transvaal Jade Sphere from Rustenburg, Northern Province, South Africa. Despite its name, Transvaal Jade is actually a variety of Hydrogrossular Green Garnet rather than Jade.

This Transvaal Jade Sphere has beautiful opaque light to deep rich green colors with some Black Chromite intermixed at some areas. It has interesting natural patterns with nice color contrasts. It is smooth all around with several natural sunken raw spots that have light colored minerals interiors.
